Course Overview
Year 1 builds engineering fundamentals, mathematics, programming and database concepts. From Year 2, students explore data structures, operating systems, theory and software engineering. In Year 3 and 4, specialisation options are offered in domains such as AI/ML, Cybersecurity, IoT & Networks, Data Science or Software Engineering. Advanced electives, minor specializations and research projects are also available.

Year 1 (Foundation): Core subjects in mathematics, basic programming, engineering mechanics, physics and chemistry. Common curriculum across engineering streams.
Year 2 onwards (Core CSE):

- Software Engineering & Design Principles
- Big Data, Cryptography & Cybersecurity fundamentals
Year 3–4 (Specialisation):
- Specialisations (chosen at start of Year 3) include AI & ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, IoT or Software Engineering.
- Elective streams, capstone projects, research or industrial exposure integrated in final year.
Admission Requirements
- 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English plus one optional subject (e.g. Chemistry/Biology/Biotech/Technical vocational), with minimum aggregate of 50% in key subjects.
- Manipal Entrance Test (MET) required; cut‑off rank varies.
- Lateral entry at Year 2 available for diploma holders.
