Course Overview

The Computer Games Technology program develops your expertise in software engineering with a strong focus on games and interactive systems. You will learn to design, program, and optimise real-time 3D environments using languages such as C++ and C#, and gain a deep understanding of artificial intelligence, physics simulation, and user interaction.

Course Duration

Year 1: Foundations in programming, mathematics for games, and introduction to game development.

Year 4: Honours project, research methods, and specialist electives in areas such as VR, mobile games, and physics-based simulation.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements:

  • Sri Lankan A/L: Minimum 3 passes including Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • UK A Levels: BBB including Mathematics or Computing
  • IB Diploma: 28 Points (including relevant subjects)

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) or equivalent

Applicants with alternative qualifications or experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
