In November 2018, UOW Global Enterprises, a subsidiary of the University of Wollongong, acquired a controlling stake in KDU university colleges and college. As a result, in November 2019, the institution’s name was changed to UOW Malaysia to reflect the leadership of the University of Wollongong. UOW Malaysia includes the University of Wollongong Malaysia, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, UOW Malaysia KDU College, and UOW Malaysia College. The University of Wollongong’s global network also extends to campuses in Australia, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
