Course Duration

The MEng Mechanical Engineering is a 5-year full-time programme, consisting of:

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements:

  • A-Level/STPM: ABB including Mathematics and Physics
  • UEC: 5 Bs including Mathematics and Physics
  • IB Diploma: 30 points including Higher Level Mathematics and Physics
  • Foundation in Engineering/Science: Minimum CGPA 3.0 with strong maths and physics performance

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 (no component below 5.5) or equivalent
  • Students not meeting English requirements may take Heriot-Watt’s English programme
