Course Overview
The MSc (Engineering) programme focuses on developing advanced research skills in engineering science and applications. It is ideal for graduates looking to progress into R&D, technical consultancy, academic roles, or to pursue a PhD.

Course Duration
Students may complete the programme over:
- 2 years full-time or
- 3 to 4 years part-time

- Undertake research training
- Conduct supervised research
- Submit and defend a thesis

Course Curriculum
The programme is 100% research-based, and includes:
- Research Methodology & Ethics (compulsory training module)
- Literature Review and Proposal Defence
- Supervised Independent Research
- Thesis Writing and Submission
- Oral Defence (Viva Voce)
Students work closely with supervisors on a selected research topic that aligns with their interests and the school’s areas of expertise.
Admission Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with a CGPA ≥ 2.75
- Applicants with CGPA 2.50–2.74 may be considered with relevant work/research experience
- Equivalent qualifications recognised by MOHE
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS 6.0
- TOEFL iBT 60
- MUET Band 4
- Exemption may be granted for English-medium graduates
Research Proposal:
- Applicants are required to submit a basic research proposal aligned with the school’s focus areas
