Course Overview

This full-time, 3-year undergraduate degree blends artistic fundamentals (sketching, storyboarding, character design) with digital workflows (Maya, compositing, rendering, animation cycles). Students engage in experiential modules and industry-driven electives preparing them for professional studios.

Course Curriculum

Students progress through:

  • Foundation: Drawing, sketching, storytelling, script, concept art, storyboarding
  • Core: 2D animation, experimental media, character design, graphic & comic art
  • Technical: 3D modelling, texturing, lighting/rendering, rigging, VFX, compositing
  • Practical: Studio projects, portfolio development, professional internship placements
  • Evaluation: Continuous assessment (50% internal: assignments, labs, tests; 50% semester exams)

Admission Requirements

  • Completion of 10+2 (or equivalent) with minimum 50% aggregate in any stream
  • Personal interview and portfolio review part of selection
  • No specific entrance test; emphasis placed on creative skill and motivation
