Course Overview

Our International Law LLB combines a solid grounding in core legal principles with focused modules on global legal issues. You’ll examine how international law is formed, interpreted, and applied, and how it influences national legal systems.

Throughout the course, you’ll develop key skills including legal analysis, public speaking, research, and professional ethics. Workshops, seminars, mock trials, and client interviewing simulations ensure your learning is practical, relevant, and engaging.

Course Duration

3 Years Full-Time

  • Year 1: Legal Method, Contract Law, Public Law, Criminal Law
  • Year 2: Tort Law, EU Law, International Human Rights Law, Legal Research Skills
  • Year 3: International Trade Law, Public International Law, Dissertation or Legal Practice Project, Optional modules (e.g. International Criminal Law, Environmental Law)

You may also take part in mooting competitions, volunteering with legal advice clinics, or studying abroad for a semester.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements:

  • Sri Lankan A/L: 3 passes including English or a humanities subject
  • UK A Levels: 112–128 UCAS tariff points (BBC–ABB)
  • IB Diploma: 28 points minimum with relevant subjects

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent

Mature students and applicants with prior qualifications or relevant experience will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
