TRU’s accredited BScN program prepares competent, compassionate registered nurses for diverse healthcare roles. It combines rigorous theoretical study, simulation, and supervised clinical placements to develop technical proficiency, ethical judgment, and cultural safety—especially grounded in Indigenous and global health perspectives. Graduates are eligible to sit the NCLEX exam and register with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives

- BIOL 1592/94 (Anatomy & Physiology 1)
Year 2:
NURS 1800, 1830, 1840 + BIOL 1692/94
Clinical learning continues in Years 3–4, with advanced practice and leadership concepts integrated.
Admission Requirements
High school pathway:
- Grade 12 (or mature status)
- English Studies 12, Math 12, Anatomy & Physiology 12, Chemistry 11, and another Grade 11/12 science—all prerequisites with minimum ~73%
Post-secondary pathway:
- 12 university credits (English, Biology, Math/Science, Social Science), each with C+ or higher, and GPA ≥ 3.0 over last 30 credits
Applicants must also complete the CASPer situational judgment test
Fees and Funding
Annual tuition is approximately CAD 20,500 (domestic/international), plus associated student and lab fees. Financial assistance, scholarships, and bursaries are available through TRU and the School of Nursing.

Graduates are eligible for RN licensure and pursue roles in hospitals, community care, public health, long-term care, Indigenous health, research, and leadership settings. There’s strong demand and attractive salaries, with entry-level nurses in BC positions earning around CAD 40/hr
