Course Overview
UC’s Bachelor of Product Design is ideal for creative problem solvers who want to build functional, beautiful, and sustainable products. You will learn how to apply design principles, understand user needs, and integrate science and technology to bring new ideas to market.
Three majors are offered:
- Applied Immersive Game Design
- Chemical, Natural, and Healthcare Product Formulation
- Industrial Product Design
Students gain core skills in 3D modelling, materials science, market research, UX/UI, and entrepreneurship.

Admission Requirements
Domestic Students:
- University Entrance (NCEA Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strongly recommended: Level 3 Mathematics and one Science subject
- Portfolio not required but creative experience is beneficial
International Students:
- Equivalent high school qualification
- English Proficiency:
- IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or equivalent
