Course Overview
Massey’s Bachelor of Nursing is a professional qualification that integrates theory with real-world practice. You will learn in modern simulation labs, engage in community-based projects, and complete extensive clinical placements.
Emphasis is placed on Māori health, mental health, pharmacology, health assessment, evidence-based practice, and leadership—ensuring you are job-ready and adaptable in an evolving healthcare environment.
Course Duration

Structured across six semesters. Includes theory, lab work, and clinical placements starting from Year 1. - Clinical placements total over 1,100 hours, including work in hospitals, aged care, primary care, and mental health services.

Admission Requirements
Domestic Applicants:
- University Entrance (NCEA Level 3 or equivalent)
- Subjects recommended: Biology, Chemistry, English
International Applicants:
- Equivalent secondary qualifications
- English Proficiency:
- IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.5) – required by NCNZ
Additional Requirements:
- Police vetting
- Health and immunisation check
- CPR Certificate (upon enrolment)
