Course Overview
The MBBS at Manipal is structured into two phases:
- Phase I (Years 1 & 2): Pre-clinical sciences delivered through integrated, system-based modules
- Phase II (Years 3 to 5): Clinical training through rotations in major disciplines including internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry, and community medicine
The programme focuses on producing well-rounded graduates with clinical competence, research skills, communication abilities, and strong ethical foundations.
Course Duration
The MBBS programme is delivered over 5 years full-time:
- Years 1–2: Basic medical sciences, pathology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and early clinical skills training
- Years 3–5: Clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals and health centres across disciplines such as medicine, surgery, OBGYN, orthopaedics, paediatrics, psychiatry, and more
Assessments include written exams, OSCEs, case presentations, logbooks, and research components.

Students will rotate across hospitals and clinics in Melaka, Seremban, and other MOH-approved facilities.
Admission Requirements
Malaysian Students:
- STPM / A-Levels: BBB in Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Math
- Matriculation / Foundation in Science: CGPA ≥ 3.00
- UEC: 5 Bs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and one more subject
- Diploma in Health Sciences: CGPA ≥ 3.50 with credits in SPM/O-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
International Students:
- Equivalent qualifications as per MMC guidelines
- Must pass an interview and medical screening
- English Proficiency: IELTS ≥ 6.0 / TOEFL ≥ 550 / MUET Band 4
