The Bachelor of Design Studies at RMIT Vietnam prepares the next generation of designers to creatively respond to real-world challenges through innovative thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful design strategies.
This program provides a strong foundation in core design principles, human-centered design, and digital media, while offering pathways to specialised areas such as communication design, UX/UI, service design, or sustainable solutions. Course Overview
This program equips students with the tools, mindset, and experience to work across diverse design fields. Students learn through studio-based practice, conceptual thinking, and collaborative design challenges, developing the ability to tackle local and global problems with creativity and purpose.
The degree balances artistic exploration with technical competency and design thinking methodologies.

The program is delivered over six semesters, combining design theory, studio practice, digital technologies, and professional experience. A final-year capstone project enables students to showcase their individual design focus.

Admission Requirements
- High school diploma with a minimum GPA based on RMIT’s requirements
- English Proficiency:
- IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0)
- RMIT English Placement Test (if applicable)
