Course Overview
The Master of Science (Dentistry) is designed to prepare candidates for advanced roles in dental research, teaching, and innovation. The programme focuses on evidence-based study, research ethics, critical literature evaluation, and the ability to conduct and defend original research.
Students may specialise in areas such as oral pathology, dental materials, public health dentistry, or clinical research, depending on their research interests and supervisory availability.
Course Duration
This is a 2-year full-time programme, consisting of:
- Year 1: Core modules and research proposal development
- Year 2: Data collection, research dissertation, and oral defence

Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Minimum CGPA of 2.75 or second class honours
- Applicants with CGPA 2.50–2.74 may be considered with additional qualifications or experience
- Candidates must submit a research proposal outline at application stage
English Language Proficiency:
- IELTS ≥ 6.0 / TOEFL ≥ 550 / MUET Band 4
- Exemption for candidates who completed undergraduate studies in English
