Course Overview

Our Actuarial Science programme is built to develop quantitative and analytical skills required to assess risk and uncertainty in business and finance. Students learn to apply mathematical and statistical techniques to real-world problems in insurance, pensions, investment, and banking.

The course also places emphasis on communication, teamwork, and ethical decision-making — key competencies for actuaries working in high-impact sectors.

Course Duration

The programme is offered full-time over 3 years, comprising six semesters of coursework.

Each academic year covers progressively advanced modules, culminating in applied actuarial modelling and a final-year dissertation or capstone project.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements:

  • A-Level: ABB including Mathematics
  • STPM: ABB with Mathematics
  • UEC: 5 Bs including Mathematics
  • IB Diploma: 30 points (including HL Maths)
  • Foundation in Science / Actuarial Science / Maths-based disciplines with strong mathematics

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 (no component below 5.5) or equivalent
