KPU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a rigorous 3‑year program grounded in caring and health‑promotion philosophies. Accredited by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), this degree prepares graduates to take the NCLEX RN licensing exam and begin professional practice in diverse settings including hospitals, clinics, and community care
Through a blend of online theory, campus labs, and community-clinical placements, students develop critical thinking, ethical sensitivity, and evidence-informed practice needed to support health across the lifespan

Course Overview
The program covers human anatomy, pharmacology, pathophysiology, relational practice, ethics, research, and community health. Fully integrated practice placements throughout each semester ensure early patient exposure and hands-on skill development.
Course Duration
3 years (six semesters; September or January entry)
Continuous enrolment during semesters, with summer off for Fall intake or vice versa for Spring intake

Based on core health and nursing sciences, the BSN includes approximately 125 credits and emphasizes health promotion, critical inquiry, and caring ethics

Lab work, community placements, and reflection are evenly spread throughout each semester
Admission Requirements
High school completion (Grade 12 or equivalent) is required for most undergraduate certificates, diplomas, associate degrees or bachelor’s degrees.
If you’ve completed 9 or more credits from a recognized post-secondary institution (e.g. diploma or university transfer), you may also qualify.
Mature applicant status (19+ years old) is another eligible route
